YAKINTHIA FESTIVAL IN ANOGIA CRETE GREECE

The cultural events "Yakinthia 2003"
will take place in Anogia, Crete
from July 2nd to July 6th
They are dedicated to the era and cultural climate
of cultural decentralization in Greece, which has been especially successful
promoted by the unforgotten Manos Hatzidakis

"Interpreting"

When 25 years ago Manos Hatzidakis and Georgis Klados decided to bring the Music Festivals of Anogia into life, this was a never before seen move in those times. The cultural decentralization with tradition as topic was born in Anogia. The Yakinthia Festivals are taking strength for 6 years now from this memory and are keeping on with the same feeling and joy interpreting the vision of two generations.
"It would be nice if we could organize a seminar with topic the process of interpreting", said Manos Hatzidakis one evening, when sitting at Meidani square. This is what we are trying to realize with this year's events, when we are listening to the depth of knowledge, which is discovered by interpreting.
